Symptoms of acute kidney failure may include:
- Chronic fatigue;
- Urinating less frequently / producing a lower volume of urine;
- Nausea;
- Irregular heartbeat;
- Seizures;
- Shortness of breath;
- Fluid retention;
- Swelling in legs, ankles, and feet;
- Chest pain.
It is recommended that you take the test if:
- You have a high protein diet;
- You have used/are using performance enhancing drugs;
- You are taking anti-inflammatory medication;
- You suffer from high blood pressure;
- You suffer from diabetes;
- You have suffered an acute injury;
- You have persistent urinary tract infections;
- You have a kidney infection / a history of kidney infection;
- You have kidney stones / a history of kidney stones.
Please avoid protein-heavy meals before taking this test, as a high protein intake could affect your test results.

Collect your sample following our clear and easy instructions.
Register your sample online using your reference number and your surname. You will need to enter your barcode number, located on the cassette (LFT) or tube (PCR).
Return your test free of charge using our pre-paid envelope. We’ll email you when we get it (For PCR Tests). Please do not send us your Lateral Flow test back, the picture at registration is enough.
You will receive your confidential results via email in the adequate time frame.
