Bowel cancer can often be asymptomatic. Symptoms may include:
- Blood in your stool;
- Change in bowel habits (eg diarrhoea, constipation, loose stools);
- Rectal bleeding;
- Unexplained abdominal pain;
- Weakness, fatigue.
It is recommended that you take this test if you present any of the symptoms listed or if:
- You are experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms;
- You have a history of adenomas;
- You have inflammatory bowel infection;
- You have inherited a syndrome (eg Lynch or FAP)
- You have type 2 diabetes;
- You have undergone radiation therapy.
Do not collect this sample during your menstrual period.
There is a possibility that this test could not identify blood in the stool of someone who has cancer, which is called a false negative. It is very important that you talk to your doctor if you have any symptoms even if you test results come back as normal.

Register your sample online using your reference number and your surname. You will need to enter your barcode number, located on the cassette (LFT) or tube (PCR).
Return your test free of charge using our pre-paid envelope. We’ll email you when we get it (For PCR Tests). Please do not send us your Lateral Flow test back, the picture at registration is enough.
You will receive your confidential results via email in the adequate time frame.
